Volunteer and Make a Difference

* To volunteer as a coach in our athletic program, please contact the athletics program at athleticdepartment@whatcomclubs.org

Our Volunteer Program at the Clubhouses is currently suspended *

Give just a few hours of your time and you can making a lasting impact on Whatcom County kids and teens.

Contributing your time can be one of the most powerful ways of supporting the Clubs. The feeling you get helping kids in person is hard to match. Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County is actively recruiting positive, skilled and committed volunteers. Our needs are ongoing and we are always looking to expand our volunteer roster.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities within our four Clubhouses that can be customized to fit your schedule. Some opportunities are one-time, such as special events or work projects, and others are consistent working with kids in a Club or athletic setting.

To ensure the safety of all our members, all volunteers must complete a volunteer application form, agree to a criminal background check and attend a one hour orientation.

“All children of all backgrounds deserve mature guidance and someone who truly cares and I had that growing up, so why would I not share that love? It’s easy. Club kids are awesome and unique I hope to always be able to volunteer my time and resources to show them they are capable of being their best self.”

“I love going in every week and helping out around the club. I feel like I’m helping build my community by giving my time to an organization that provides a safe and positive space for the kids to come after school.”
