On Friday, April 27th we welcomed nearly 400 guests into the Event Center at Silver Reef in Ferndale for our 4th Annual Inspire Higher Dreams Gala & Auction. Thanks to our corporate sponsors, attendees, volunteers, and committee members we made it a record-breaking night! Initial estimates indicate that this year’s Gala raised $370,000 to benefit the kids of our community. Our “raise a paddle” for Sponsor a Child raised a recording breaking $128,000 in just a few minutes. Thank you to all of our Sponsor a Child donors.
The live auction welcomed new items like an apricot, four-month-old Labradoodle puppy, a luxury ticket and vacation package to the 2019 US Open in Monterey, California, six days and six nights of lodging at the Zulu Nyala Game Preserve in South Africa, and more. Among our Silent Auction items were chances to sit front row at Seattle sports games, luxury hotel stays at places like The Chrysalis Inn and Spa and Hotel Bellwether. There was truly an item or experience for everyone.
With another successful event behind us, we look forward to record setting numbers at our fundraisers this fall with the support of our Whatcom County community.
